Parking in the port area
There is a constant stream of transport, both in and out of the port. This also includes vehicular traffic. Vehicles often need to park temporarily while waiting to be loaded or unloaded. We kindly ask drivers to help us keep the port area safe and accessible for everyone by using the designated parking facilities.
Where to park?
If possible, park at the premises of the company you are visiting. If on-site parking is unavailable, there are designated parking areas for trucks, cars, and trailers within the port area. Please refer to the provided map for locations. Parking is only permitted in designated areas marked with signage.
Please note that parking is only permitted in designated areas marked with signs. The map below indicates these locations. For trucks, there is a designated truck parking area called "De Heining".
Truckers can park for free up to 9 hours at this stop. There is also a self-cleaning toilet and vending machine available.

Illegal parking and enforcement
Illegal parking causes obstruction and, in some cases, even dangerous traffic situations. It also hinders access to businesses and public areas. For example, emergency services may not be able to reach their destination quickly or at all. Wrongly parked trucks, trailers, and cars will be dealt with. A penalty such as a fine, a wheel clamp, or removal of the vehicle may follow. We do this to prevent obstruction and dangerous situations.
Parking near the city limits
Amsterdam parking regulations apply to port areas adjacent to the city, such as the "Minervahaven" area.
