Environmental discount for ships

Apply discount
Since April 1st 2024 it is not possible for ships who sail exclusively on clean fuels (gas oils, diesel oils and LNG) to apply for a discount. Ships that used this regulation before April 1st, will pay until December 31st 2024 a contribution of €50 for annex I ship waste.
Adjustments per April 1st
Via EU Uitvoeringsverordening (EU) 2022/91 of the European Commission it is obliged since January 21st 2022 that ships can prove that they produce less waste and/or have proper waste management so they earn a discount on their environmental contribution. Ships that will apply for this discount should perform an audit at Green Award. Green Award takes care for the audit information about ships at Dutch sea ports.
