Chief Financial Officer Alexander Kousbroek to Leave Port of Amsterdam
After ten years in various financial roles—five of which as Chief Financial Officer (CFO)—Alexander Kousbroek is leaving Port of Amsterdam. As of June 1, 2025, he will take on the role of CFO at Talpa Network.
During his years as CFO at Port of Amsterdam, he was involved in two strategic plans with accompanying multi-year budgets, as well as the development of a new vision for 2040. Under his leadership, significant progress was made in the area of risk management, and he was responsible for two major financing rounds. In addition, the procurement function was further professionalized.
Beyond his responsibilities for Finance, Alexander also oversaw IT—where a robust cybersecurity team was established—as well as Legal Affairs and Procurement.
Jan Lagasse, Chairman of the Supervisory Board (RvC) of Port of Amsterdam:
“On behalf of the Supervisory Board, I would like to thank Alexander for his valuable contribution to Port of Amsterdam during his five years as a board member and CFO—a period we look back on with appreciation. Under his leadership, the finance, legal, and IT teams have made great strides in the further professionalization of the company. We wish Alexander every success in his next challenge.”
Koen Overtoom, CEO of Port of Amsterdam:
“On behalf of all our employees, we wish Alexander every success and happiness in his new role at Talpa Network. I want to thank him for his dedication, for helping keep our company financially healthy, and for his collegial spirit. I’m confident he will thrive in his new position. We will truly miss him—as a skilled professional and as a person.”
Port of Amsterdam will begin the search for a new CFO. Over the coming weeks, the organization will explore how best to fill the position.
